I’m fed up with the Bible.” “Flanders” then challenged him to conduct some unrelentingly thorough research into the person and claims of Jesus Christ… which he did “mostly out of spite to prove them wrong.” And, though his research led him to believe the gospel, he was reluctant to take hold of it. He didn’t want to admit that he had been wrong, and he didn’t want to not have fun. Just like me. He doesn’t say what tipped him over the line, but he was, nonetheless, tipped.
